Expt. No. I : Determination of modulus of  rigidity of the material of  the          

                     given rod by statical method.

 

Expt. No. II : Determination of moment of inertia of a given solid about its                                  

                      own axis by  using M.I. Table.

 

Expt. No. III: Determination of resistance of a galvanometer using post  

                      office box.

 

Expt. No. IV: Determination of ratio of E.M.F of two cells using

                      potentiometer.

 

Expt. No. V:  To determine the internal resistance of a cell with the help of a

                      potentiometer.

 

Expt. No. VI: To convert a given galvanometer into a voltmeter of given  

                       range and then calibrate it with the help of an ammeter and  

                       standard resistance.

 

Expt. No. VII: Determination of the focal length of a convex mirror with 

                        the help of an auxiliary lens.

 

Expt. No. VIII: To determine the grating element and number of lines per

                          unit length of a given grating by spectrometer.

 

 

Expt. No. IX: Determination of coefficient of viscosity of water by

SUB: ENGINEERING PHYSICS-II LAB (PH171211)

 

 

Expt. No. I : To determine the mechanical equivalent of heat by Joule´s

                     calorimeter

 

Expt. No. II : To determine the specific heat of the given liquid by the

                       method of cooling

 

Expt. No. III: To determine the specific resistance of the material of a given

                       wire with the help of meter bridge.

 

Expt. No. IV: Determination of the value of a low resistance by the drop of

                       potential method (by a meter-bridge).

 

Expt. No. V:  Determination of

(i)                Angle of incidence i and deviation d curve of a prism using spectrometer.

(ii)             The angle of minimum deviation and refractive index of 

           material of the prism.

 

Expt. No. VI: Determination of powers of given lenses using an optical                           bench (i)  concave Lens (ii) convex lens

 

Expt. No. VII: To determine the value of acceleration due to gravity using

                        Kater’s pendulum.

 

 

Expt. No. VIII: Determination of horizontal components of earth’s

                          magnetic field using magnetometer.

 

Expt. No. IX:  To draw the characteristics curves of semiconductor diode

                        (p- n diode).

 

Expt. No. X: Investigation of a series resonant L-C-R circuit; To draw the                    resonance curve and to find out the resonance frequency (RF).                    From RF, find out the values of the unknown capacitances.
