Technical Officer
Electronics Corporation of India Ltd. (ECIL)
A Govt. of India ( Dept. of Atomic Energy ) Enterprise

GIMT, a premier institute devoted to nurture the young minds of NE India in science & tech. is a pioneer of its kind in the private sector. Since its very inception GIMT primarily focused only on quality and performance which stands unparalleled. The quality education imparted by the highly qualified and experienced faculties is reflected in the university results every year. The recent NBA accreditation is a testimony to the quality, standards and discipline it maintains.

The primary focus of any technical institute is to instill technical abilities and infuse scientific temperament among its students to make them adept enough to beat any competition of the day. This is what GIMT actually does and this is how it prepares its students rather than spoon feeding the young engineers and placating them with trivial jobs in campus placement.

I hope GIMT will continue to maintain its standards and quality and bestow the nation with promising engineers and scientists to take it step further!!

“Philippians 1:10 reads, “Learn to sense what is vital…and of real value.”

The true essence of this saying was taught to me in my alma mater, GIMT. My tryst with GIMT started in 2008 and never had I thought that this institution would play a pivotal role in evolving me in the best ways possible. With a blend of sound and disciplined leaning ambience and brilliant faculty members, GIMT helped me identify my strengths and weaknesses and prepare a course of career that would be best suited for me. I belonged to the Applied Electronics and Instrumentation (AEI) branch and this choice has proved to be one of the best that I could have made in my career. AEI was not just an engineering branch, it was the branch that taught me the power of imagination in technology. Today, post an MBA and working for some of the top global technologies and clients, I can safely say that the knowledge of process improvement measures across all domains passed on by the stalwarts in GIMT has been of utmost use in my field of work.

GIMT has been the guiding light for me to determine the value of quality education and not just a degree. This is the place to be for a student aspiring to be an engineer, technopreneur, technocrats and anything they can dream of”.

Assistant Professor, SLIET Longowal

I feel privileged to have been asked to share my views about my graduation days. I am happy to be a part of Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Department of Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Management and Technology which is an interdisciplinary branch. GIMT days reminds me of my friends, seniors, teachers and the cool breeze of Deepor Beel that made beautiful memories. The guidance provided by our teachers has helped me reach where I am today. They also motivated us to do our best and move forward in any situation. I would like to take this opportunity to express my deep gratitude to our teachers for their support and encouragement. I enjoyed being a GIMTian “…..And that has made all the difference”.

Pradyut Pratim Baruah ( Batch: 2013-17)

Graduate Trainee Engineer (GET).

I feel grateful that I persuaded my Degree in Applied Electronics and instrumentation branch. I liked most of the subjects and very important my all teachers were very helpful.

AEI (Applied Electronics and Instrumentation) is incredible. The faculties here are so friendly and collaborative that they have given me an automatic support system and built-in family/friends.  The faculties in this branch AEI, found to have the motto of "work hard, play hard".  It’s a bit difficult to find the balance at first, but there are definitely more than enough academic support that can help me cut down the time and effort I need to spend on academics, which gives me quite a lot of time to do whatever I want to do in future.
