Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

  1. PEO1: Physical Resource: The department will procure the latest state of art hardware or software products to upgrade the facilities in laboratories for meeting the following goals:
    (a) Students can take Curricular and Co-curricular activities.
    (b) Undertaking R & D consultancy projects.
    (c) Undertake higher research work or advanced research work.
  2. PEO2: Academic Competence: The department will appoint competent faculty members and will organize FD/SD programs on regular basis, sponsor them for further education and for participating in national/international conferences to upgrade their competence. The department will also provide students with solid foundation in the mathematical, scientific and engineering fundamentals.
  3. PEO3: Higher Education and Research: The department will ensure to inculcate the spirit of enquiry, creativity, collaboration, adaptability, problem solving strengths and self learning to prepare the students and faculties for higher studies and Research.
  4. PEO4: Professionalism: The department will ensure that the faculty, staff and students to demonstrate the behavior related to time management, self discipline, positive attitude, integrity and so on. The department will ensure to adopt self development group approach for developing the personalities and competence of faculty and students.
  5. PEO5: Social Responsibility: The department will try to organize socializing activities such as:
    (a) Inter departmental seminars
    (b) Publication of Institute magazines
    (c) Official picnics
    (d) College annual fest
    (e) Industrial visits
    (f) Organizing engineering model exhibition under the guidance of faculties
    (g) Organizing lecture sessions with experts from different fields
  6. PEO6: Career Preference: The department expects that the graduates of this program are likely to contribute excellence in the following sectors:
    (a) Core Electronic Engineering Technology
    (b) IC Design Technology
    (c) Robotics
    (d) Embedded System Design
    (e) Communication Engineering Technology
    (f) Pursuing higher education
    (g) Becoming an entrepreneur

Program Outcomes (POs)

Programme outcomes are narrower statements that describe what students are expected to know and be able to do by the time of graduation. This relate to the skills, knowledge and behaviors that students acquire in their programme.

A graduate in Electronics and Communications Engineering will be able
  1. PO1: To apply knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering.
  2. PO2: To design a system, component or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety manufacturability and sustainability.
  3. PO3: To function on multidisciplinary teams.
  4. PO4: To identify, analyze, specify and solve engineering problems.
  5. PO5: To understand the professional and ethical responsibility.
  6. PO6: To illustrate the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental and societal context.
  7. PO7: To practice the need for, and an ability to engage in life-long learning.
  8. PO8: To use the Techniques, skills and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice.
  9. PO9: To acquire effective communication skills such as
    (a) Speaking and listening
    (b) Reading and writing
    (c) Interpret and prepare visual display
