OPTIONS FOR PAYMENT OF SEMESTER FEES

 

Newly Admitted students

(a) Fees will have to be paid either in the form of Online Banking system by
(i) Net Banking, (ii) Credit cards and (iii) e-payment systems by visiting the website Address -- https://gimtadmissions.in/ or DD drawn at any Nationalized Bank in favour of Shrimanta Shankar Academy A/c- GIMT, payable at Guwahati.
No Part payment will be accepted. Fees once paid will not be refunded.
(b) On the day of counselling, selected students will have to pay the Provisional Admission Fees of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only) by cash.
(c) The balance amount of first semester will have to be paid as mentioned above in (a) within a week, failing which the offer of admission will be withdrawn and the seat will be offered to the next eligible candidate.
N.B : The aforementioned fee structure does not include University Registration and Examination fees and will have to be paid in cash as and when need arises.

Payment of Semester Fees (second semester onwards)

Fees will have to be paid either in the form of Online Banking system by (i) Net Banking, (ii) Credit cards and (iii) e-payment systems by visiting the website Address -- https://gimtadmissions.in/
Documents to be submitted at the time of admission:
a) Original copies of all documents for verification.
b) Anti-ragging affidavit of student and parent, duly signed by Notary on Rs 10.00 stamp paper.

With effect from 1st August 2013, semester fees can be paid by the students of 2nd semester and above from their home station as per following procedure. First semester fees will continue to be paid in bank draft as before

 

I-Collect

  1. Payment by students/parents having internet banking facilities only.
  2. Fees can be paid upto 15th September for odd semester and 15th February for even semester.
  3. Account will not accept deposit after above dates.
  4. Procedure for online payment is as under:-
    1. Go to site www.onlinesbi.com
    2. Log into own account using user Id and password.
    3. Go to payment / transfer and click on link.
    4. Open link "STATE BANK COLLECT". Enter own State and Type of Institutions from drop down menu (select Educational institution) and submit.
    5. Select "Shrimanta Shankar Academy - GIMT" from drop-down menu and submit.
    6. Select details of your branch and semester from drop down menu.
    7. Enter your Name and Roll No in appropriate column and make payment.
      1. Take a printout of the receipt and submit it to Administrative Branch as confirmation of having paid your fees.
      2. In case of due date is over, make use of Powerjyoti Account to deposit fees. (Details explained below)


Powerjyoti Account

  1. Students/parents, without internet banking facility and those students (with internet banking facility) but due date is over, can use this account to deposit fees.
  2. Account will accept deposit in cash / cheque throughout the year in any branch of State Bank of India.
  3. Challan to deposit fees can be downloaded from GIMT website and printout taken.
  4. Challan contains three sections - Bank Copy, SSA Copy and Remitter Copy. Students will deposit the "SSA Copy" of challanto Administrative Branch, GIMT as proof of having deposited semester fees. Remitter copy to be retained as personal proof.
  5. Procedure for use of Powerjyoti account is as under:-
    1. Fill in details of your name, roll number, semester and department in all three copies of challan.
    2. Enter the amount of semester fee. Rs 20.00 will be charged as bank charges.
    3. Write the total amount in words including bank charges.
    4. Hand over cash / cheque alongwithchallan in bank counter. Two copies (SSA Copy and Remitter Copy) will be returned to the remitter after accepting the cash / cheque by the bank duly signed and stamped.
    5. Ensure Journal Number has been endorsed by the bank in both copies returned to the remitter.
    6. Deposit SSA Copy of challan to Administrative Branch, GIMT and retain other copy with student.
  6. Those paying fees after 15th September / 15th February will pay late fee while depositing SSA Copy of the challan in Administrative Branch as under:-
    1. First 30 days               - Rs 50.00 per day.
    2. Subsequent days        - Rs 100.00 per day.
  7. Clearance for deposit of semester fees will be given by Administrative Branch only after late fee, if any, has been paid while depositing copy of challan.
